Working Together: Week of August 26-30

Language: We will start our daily Saxon Phonics program this week. The letter sounds of the week will be l and o.

Math: We are working on proper formation of numbers (1-10). The children are also being introduced to new Montessori Math work.

Social Studies: All about Me and I am Special!

Handwriting: We will start our "Handwriting without Tears" this week.

Geography/ Science: Our first unit study will be on the Universe/ Solar system/ Space and the child's place in it.  

Our planets for this week will be Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. We will discuss about the three elements of earth: Land/Air/ Water.

Art: The class will be introduced to cutting with different lines. Also, we will be doing art projects on the solar system.

Geometry: The class will be introduced to the Triangular box.

Experiments: Day and Night/ Water experiments.

Special Event: Tuesday, August 27: Parent Night from 6:30-7:30 pm. Childcare will be provided.

 Wednesday, August 20, First Day of School. Classroom doors open at 8:10 AM.
