Working Together: Week of February 17-21

Social Studies: We will conclude our study on Presidents and their role. We will discuss about some famous African American people such as Rosa Parks and Jackie Robinson.
Geography: We will start our unit on Africa.
Art: Paper Plate Fish.
Famous Artist: Georgia O'Keeffe. We will recreate her famous painting, "Red Poppy"
Cooking: Decorating the President's Day cake.
Language: The letter sounds of the week will w and combination qu. Please review the word lists your child is bringing home with their daily phonic sheets.

Art: Hand print and hearts tree, silohuettes of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, Seahorse collage.
Special Event: On Friday, our class will have a Valentine's party at 8:30.
