Language: The letter sound for this week will be d and v. 

Journal writing: The children will be doing journal writing on Sea Life.

Math: The children are working with the Montessori math materials. As a class, we have started our unit study on money. This week we will continue learning about the penny.

Science: We will continue our study on Sea Life.

Art: CD Sea turtles.

Food Preparation: Juicing an orange.

Reminder: There is no school on Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6. We will have Parent Teacher Conferences. Looking forward to talking to each one of you at the conference.

Language: The letter sound for this week will be y and d.  We are working on sight words.

Journal writing: The children will be doing journal writing on Kansas.

Math: The children are working with the Montessori math materials. As a class, we will start our unit study on money. This week we will talk about the penny.

Geography: We are discussing about our state, "Kansas."

Art: Coffee filter Sunflowers.

Food Preparation: Juicing an orange.


Special event: Thursday, January 29: Our EC division will be celebrating Pioneer Day to celebrate Kansas's birthday.

Working Together: Week of  January 12-16

Language: The letter sound for this week will be c and e.  We are working on syllables, sentence construction and sight words.

Journal writing: The children will be introduced to journal writing. Our topic will be winter.

Math: The children are working with the Montessori math materials. As a class, we will learn measurement.

Geography: Our continent for this month is,"Asia." This week will learn about India, China and Japan. 

Art: Snowflake cutting/ paper plate peacocks.

Food Preparation: Juicing an orange.


Special event: The next big step from KG to 1st Grade on Tuesday, January 13 at 6:30 PM

EC Open House from 5:30 to 7 on Thursday, January 15.
