Working Together: Week of September 16-20

Language:  The letter sounds of the week will be t. We are also learning how to blend sounds to make a word, rhyming words and listening to sounds at the beginning and end of a word.

Math: We are working on proper formation of numbers (1-10). The children are also being introduced to new Montessori Math work. 

Geography/ Science:  We will be introduced to models of Lake/Island. We will review Earth's layers, its magnetism and also will learn about Magnets. We will learn about owls.

Art:  Our art projects will be on owls and drawing and painting our Dads.

Geometry: The class will be introduced to the Polygons.

Food prep: We will continue with muffin peeling and grape plucking activity.

Special event: Friday, Sept 20: Inviting all our Dad's to celebrate Dad's day with us from 1-2:30 PM.

Language:  The letter sounds of the week will be g and h. We will also learn how to blend sounds to make a word.

Math: We are working on proper formation of numbers (1-10). The children are also being introduced to new Montessori Math work.

Geography/ Science:  We will continue our study of the Universe. This week we will learn about the moon, space and the astronauts. In science, we will learn about living and non-living things.

Art: The class will be introduced to cutting shapes. Our art projects will be Moon printing and the Milky Way Galaxy..

Geometry: The class will be introduced to the Hexagonal Box.

Food prep: We will start with muffin peeling and grape plucking activity.

Cooking: We will make Moon rock cookies.

Working Together: Week of September 3-6

Language:  The letter sounds of the week will be l and g.

Math: We are working on proper formation of numbers (1-10). The children are also being introduced to new Montessori Math work.

Geography/ Science: We will continue or study on the Universe/ Solar system/ and Space. This week we will discuss about Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, constellations, meteroids, asteroids and the Milky Way Galaxy.

Art: We will do art projects on the Solar system.

Geometry: The class will be introduced to the basic shapes of geometry. 

Experiments: We will learn about the layers of the earth by dissecting a boiled egg.

Birthday: Our friend Phillip will be 5 on Wednesday, September 4. Happy Birthday Phillip.
