Language: . Our letter sound for the week will be j. As part of our daily phonics lessons, we are learning to identify the accent on a syllable within a word, think of words that contain particular sounds, identify the j sound in a word and identify the medial sounds in words.

Literature: Discussion on "The Frog Prince" story.

Math: We will be introduced to the dime.

Journal Writing: Valentine's day.

Science: Conclude sea life.

Geography: Symbols of USA and discussions about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

Writing: This week we will learn to write the letter j.

Art: Push pin the silhouettes of Washington and Lincoln, Chinese new year lanterns and a  drawing activity related to, "The Frog Prince."

Food Prep: Clementine Peeling.

Friday, February 16: Celebrate Chinese New Year during P:E class.

Language: . Our letter sounds for the week will be v. As apart of our daily phonics lessons, we are learning to count the syllables in a word, listening to the d sound in a word, identifying the final sound in a word  and listening to the v sound in a word.

Math: We will be introduced to the nickel.

Journal Writing: Sea life

Science: We will learn about few sea animals and the Ocean Zones.

Geography: Introduce USA.

Art: Art projects related to Valentine's day and sea life.
