We will focus on rhyming words to celebrate Dr. Seuss Week.

Journal Writing; Ancient Egypt

Math:  The children will be working with the Montessori Math materials. 

Geography: We will focus on Ancient Egypt. 

Art:  King Tut's Death Mask / Pyramids of Giza.

Famous Artist: Mary Cassatt.

Friday: Decorate your T.Shirt for Dr.Seuss week

Working Together: Week of February 17-21

Language:  The letter sounds of the week will w and combination qu. Please review the word lists your child is bringing home with their daily phonic sheets. 

Journal Writing; If I were the President..........

Math:  The children will be working with the Montessori Math materials. We will start our unit on Fractions.

Social Studies: We will conclude our study on Presidents and their role. We will discuss about some famous African American people such as Rosa Parks and Jackie Robinson.

Geography: We will start our unit on Africa. 

Art:  Paper Plate Fish.

Famous Artist: Georgia O'Keeffe. We will recreate her famous painting, "Red Poppy"

Cooking: Decorating the President's Day cake.
