Working Together: Week of October 28-30

Language:  The letter sounds of the week will be s and f. Please review the word lists your child is bringing home with their daily phonic sheets. Recite few favorite Mother Goose Rhymes together.

Math:  The children will continue with the Montessori Math materials.

Science: Discussion on spiders.

Art:  Learn to draw a spiderweb.

Special Holiday: Discussion on Halloween.

Special events;  Mother Goose Parade on Wednesday, October 30 at 8:30 AM. We will have our classroom party right after the Parade.

No School: Thursday October 31st & Friday, November 31st. Parent Teacher Conferences on these two days. Kids Club be available.

Pumpkin observations / Scooping pumpkin seeds!

Week of October 21-25

Working Together: Week of October 21-25

Language:  The letter sounds of the week will be i and s. Please review the word lists your child is bringing home with their daily phonic sheets.

Math:  The children will continue with the Montessori Math materials.

Science:  We have been learning about pumpkins. We are making predictions and observations on pumpkins.

Art:  We will learn to draw pumpkins. We have painted pumpkins and they will be turned into Jack-O- Lanterns.

Food prep: We will do Apple Slicing.

Special events;  Field Trip to Apple Jack Pumpkin Patch on Thursday, October 24.

Birthdays: Anne Marie will turn six on Wednesday, October 23.
Luke will turn six on Thursday, October 24. "Happy 6th Birthday to both Anne Marie and Luke".

Cooking: We will have so much fun frosting "Pumpkin Cookies".

All School Picnic & Homecoming, October 18

Inspite of the rain,and a very damp afternoon our 2013 all school picnic was a great success. Our special thanks to all our Buddies who were so caring and took such good care of us!

We planted Tulip and Daffodil Bulbs!

We had so much fun planting Tulip and Daffodil bulbs right outside our EC building on the circular island. The weather was perfect. We can't wait to see them bloom in Spring! Many thanks to all our moms and dads who helped with the planting. We could not have done this without you all!

Language:  The letter sounds of the week will be m and i. Please review the word lists your child is bringing home with their daily phonic sheets.

Math:  The children will be working with Place Value.

Science:  We will start our discussions on pumpkins.

Geography: We will discuss about Columbus day. The children will also be introduced to the continent of North America and its animals.

Art:  We will do art projects on Columbus day and will recreate Cezanne's "Still Life with Apples."

Food prep: We will be introduced to Apple Slicing.

Special events;  Planting Tulip and Daffodil bulbs in front of EC building on Thursday.

Friday, October 18: All school picnic at noon.

Birthday: Lukas Cremin will be 6 on Friday, October 17. We wish him a very Happy Birthday.
