Working Together: Week of December 16-20



Working Together: Week of December 16-20
Language:  The letter sounds of the week will be c and e. Please review the word lists your child is bringing home with their daily phonic sheets.

Math:  The children will be working with the Montessori Math materials. We are also discussing about Symmetry

Geography:  The class was introduced to the Land and Water forms models of Strait/ Isthmus and Systems of Lakes and Archipelagos.

 Social Studies: We are discussing about Holidays around the world.

Special Event: Tuesday, December 17: Classroom Holiday breakfast.
Thursday, December: All KG classes will watch a movie at our Upper School Auditorium.
Friday: Special visit from Santa Claus

Holiday break from Monday, December 23- Sunday January 5th.

Cookie Frosting/ KG Bake Sale

Our KG Bake sale was a great success. Thanks to all our parents who baked delicious goodies and everybody who bought the baked goods!

Working Together: Week of December 2-6



Working Together: Week of December 2-6
Language:  The letter sounds of the week will be u and z. Please review the word lists your child is bringing home with their daily phonic sheets.

Math:  The children will be working with the Montessori Math materials. We are also focusing on Place Value.

Geography: This week we will explore the continent of Antarctica and learn about the animals that live there. Our special focus will be "Penguins". We will also learn about Cape/ Bay.( Land and water form)

Science: We will discuss about Hibernation.

Art: Paint Antarctica map and learn to draw a Penguin.

Special Project: Bake for Bake Sale and frost cookies for the Bake Sale on Thursday.

Special Event: KG Bake Sale.
