Working Together: Week of April 30-May 4

Language: We will be introduced to digraph ch and digraph ee. As part of our daily phonics lessons, we are learning to un-blend initial consonant sounds, to substitute sounds in words, and to separate and exchange words in compound words.

Literature: Discussion on the Junior Great Books poem," Fantasy."

Math: Montessori math activities.

Science: We will finish our unit on weather and start our unit on the Human Body.

Journal Writing: Human body

Famous Artist: Discussion about Pablo Picasso.

Art: Finish Van Gogh's Starry night recreation and recreate Picasso's style of abstract art.

Food Preparation: Juicing an orange.

Foreign Language: Introductory French lessons with Mrs. Barbier.

Presentations: Presentation on the lungs on May 2 by Dr. Sharma. (Eeshan's mom).
Presentation on the heart on May 3 by Dr. Cleveland ( Caden's dad).
Presentation on the brain on May 4 by Dr. Tripathi. (Ria's dad).
