Our Thanksgiving feast!

Working Together: Week of November 30- December 4

Working Together: Week of November 30- December 4
Language: This week, our letter sound will be k and b .We are also working on words in a sentence, sight words and compound words. Please review the word lists your children will be bringing home every week.

Handwriting: We are working on our handwriting books and proper formation of letters and numbers.

Math: The children are working with the Montessori Math materials. We will learn to do graphing.

Art: Painting a fall tree, drawing a penguin, painting Antarctica

Food Prep: Pancakes with Maple Syrup

Geography: We will start our unit on Antarctica. We will learn about the animals of Antarctica with special focus on Penguins. We will also discuss about the Arctic regions.

Famous Artist:  Our famous artist for this month will be Norman Rockwell.

Math: The children are working with the Montessori Math materials. We are also learning about place value as a class.

Art: Making Dream Catchers & Decorating the Native American vests & headbands.

Food Prep:Apple Slicing & Pancakes with Maple Syrup

Science: Migration of birds, butterflies and animals.

Geography:  We will conclude our unit on Native Americans & Pilgrims.

Imp dates: Tuesday, November 17: Picture re-take day.

Friday, November 20: Grandparents Day & Thanksgiving program from 8:30-10:30 AM.

Math: The children are working with the Montessori Math materials. We are learning about the line of symmetry.

Famous Artist: Dale Chihuly

Art: Recreating Dale Chihuly's art work.

Food Prep:Apple Slicing.

Science: Hibernation of animals.

Geography:  We are learning about the Native Americans.

Language: This week, our letter sound will be i and s. We are also learning to separate the words in a sentence. Please review the word lists your children will be bringing home every week.

Handwriting: We are working on our handwriting books and proper formation of letters and numbers.

Math: The children are working with the Montessori Math materials.

Art:  Leaf art work.

Food Prep:Apple Slicing.

Science: We have been collecting leafs, acorns and rocks from outdoors and observing how the trees are changing colors.

Geography:  We will conclude our unit study on North America. We will start our unit on the Thanksgiving story.
