Language: The letter sounds for this week will be k and .. We are working on consonant blends, twin consonants and syllables.

Handwriting: The children are learning the proper formation of letters through the Handwriting without tears program. This month, we are going to start working in writing our last names with the proper letter formations.

Math: The children are working with the Montessori math materials. As a class, we are doing skip counting by 5,s and 10,s

Geography: This week, we will travel to the cold continent of Antarctica. We will talk about the animals that live there.

Science: We will learn about Migration/ Hibernation and Adaptation.

Art: We will paint the continent of Antarctica. We will also learn to draw penguins.

Language: The letter sounds for this week will be f and r. We are working on consonant blends, twin consonants and compound words.

Handwriting: The children are learning the proper formation of letters through the Handwriting without tears program. We will be working to perfect in writing our first names with the proper letter formations.

Math: We are learning about place value. As a class, we are doing skip counting by 5,s and 10,s

Geography/ Social Studies:  We are continuing with our study of the pilgrims, Native Americans and  the first Thanksgiving.

Art: We will learn to recreate a painting of Paul Cezanne.

Imp Dates: Classroom Thanksgiving party on Tuesday, November 18 at 10:30 AM.

Friday, November 21: Grandparents Day & Thanksgiving Program.

The children have been very busy practicing for the program.

Math: We are going to learn about place value. This week, we will start with units and tens.

Geography/ Social Studies:  We are going to start our unit on the pilgrims/ Native Americans and the first Thanksgiving.

Art: Mayflower project.
Making a totempole/ Teepee and decorating the headbands,
