Working Together: Week of March 23- 27

Working Together: Week of March 23-27

Language: The letter sound for this week will be digraph ck and we will review compound words and syllables.

Math: The children are working with the Montessori math materials. We will continue or study on fractions and start our unit on time.

Geography: Our continent study will be on Europe. We will make a small stop at France, Italy, England, Germany and Greece.

Science: We will have discussions on spring and learn about birds.

Art:  Art projects related to spring.

Famous Artist: Claude Monet from France.

Important dates: EC Spring Picture Day on Thursday, March 26.

Dr.Seuss Fun!

Working Together: Week of March 9 - 13

Working Together: Week of March 9 - 13

Language: The letter sound for this week will be digraph ck and we will review compound words and syllables.

Math: The children are working with the Montessori math materials. We have started our unit on fractions.

Geography: We will finish our unit on Ancient Egypt and introduce the continent of Europe and learn about the animals of Europe.

Art: We will start painting King Tut's death mask.

Important dates: Read and Romp on Monday, March 11.
Spring break from March 16- March 20. School re-opens on Monday, March 23.

Working Together: Week of March 2- 6

Working Together: Week of March 2 -6

Language: The letter sound for this week will be w and combination qu.

Literature: Reading Dr. Seuss books and working on word family words.

Math: The children are working with the Montessori math materials. This week we will finish our study on money.


Geography: We will continue our study on Africa and discuss about Egypt, Kenya and South Africa.We will also start our unit on ancient Egypt.

Art: Draw The Cat in the Hat on your T-shirts/ African collar necklaces.

Foreign Lang:  French lessons as a group.

Important dates: Dress silly on Wednesday, March 4.
Friday, March 6 at 8:30: The Cat in the Hat Run.
