Journal Writing; If I were the President..........

Math:  The children will be working with the Montessori Math materials. We will start our unit on Fractions.

Social Studies: We will conclude our study on Presidents and their role. We will discuss about some famous African American people such as Rosa Parks and Jackie Robinson.

Geography: We will start our unit on Africa. 

Art:  Paper Plate Fish.

Famous Artist: Georgia O'Keeffe. We will recreate her famous painting, "Red Poppy"

Cooking: Decorating the President's Day cake.

Journal Writing; Sea Life

Math:  The children will be working with the Montessori Math materials. We will conclude our unit on money. We will review time. ( One-Hour)

Science:  We will conclude our unit on Sea Life.

Social Studies: We will have discussions on Presidents Day. Our focus of study will Be George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

Art:  Hand print and hearts tree, silohuettes of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, Seahorse collage.

Special Event: On Friday, our class will have a Valentine's party at 8:30.
