Working Together: Week of April 17-21
Language: Our letter sounds for this week will be combination or and er. As part of our daily phonics lessons, we are learning to separate and exchange words in compound words, learning to substitute sounds in words and listening to the sounds in a word.
Journal Writing :Our topic will be insects.

Math: We are learning number comparisons: greater than, less than and equal to.
Science: We are going to learn about reptiles.
Geography: Our continent study for this month will be South America. We will learn about its animals with special emphasis on the Amazon Rain forest. We will also learn about few of the countries of South America: Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
Famous Artists: Leonardo Da Vinci.
Art: Water color painting of Da Vinci's Mona Lisa coloring page. Life Cycle of a butterfly.
Food Prep: Ladybug Cupcakes.
Special Event: Kindergarten Music Program on Thursday, April 21 at 7 PM.
