Working Together: Week of September 25-29

Language: . Our letter sounds for the week will be t. As apart of our phonics lessons, we are learning to make words with the l. o. g and h sounds, listening to beginning sounds and blending three sounds to make a short vowel word.

Math: As part of our math curriculum, we will discuss about dimensions.

Writing: We are practicing writing our numbers. This week we are learning to write the letter t.

Geography:. The children will learn how we transition from the continent globe to the continent puzzle map and then they will be introduced to the continent puzzle map. The class will also be introduced to the model of a strait and a isthmus.

Science: We will discuss about the properties of air. We will learn about apples. We will be tasting different types of apples.

Famous Artist: We will learn about the life and works of Paul Cezanne.

Food Preparation: Muffin Peeling and Grape Plucking activity.

Art:  Recreation of Paul Cezanne's, "Still Life with Apples."

Cooking: Johnny Appleseed Cake.

Special event: Wichita author, Andrea Cassell is coming on Friday morning, September 29th. Her children's book is called, Kibby The Space Dog.  This heartwarming story is about a dog named Kibby looking different.  Kibby's story brings to life the way dogs experience the"cone of shame" and teaches kindness and tolerance to our young children. She will bring her dog, Kirby.
