Working Together: Week of November 27- December 1

Language: . Our letter sounds for the week will be r and k. As apart of our phonics lessons, we are learning to listen to the k sound in a word, learning to think of rhyming words and manipulate sounds in words.

Math: As part of our math curriculum, we will be introduced to the 45 layout to teach the hierarchy of numbers. This presentation will give an overall view of the decimal system and the fact that in base ten there may be no more than nine in one category, for both quantity and numeral.

Writing: This week we will learn to write the letter k.

Science: The class will be introduced to Simple Machines.

Geography: We will start our unit on Antarctica. We will discuss about Antarctica, its animals with a special emphasis on penguins. We will also learn about the Arctic region.

Art: Art projects related to Antarctica.

Food Prep: Pancakes with Maple Syrup / Apple Slicing.
