Language: We will be introduced to digraph oo. As part of our daily phonics lessons, we are learning to listen to the"th" sound at the end and beginning of a word, to think of words that contain particular sounds in words, we are learning to listen to manipulate sounds in words and to recognize digraphs and say digraph names.

Literature: Discussion on the Junior Great Books passage: "Coyote Rides the Sun."

Math: Montessori math activities.

Social Studies: Start discussion on Earth day.

Geography: Our continent study this week will be on South America. The countries we will focus on will be Brazil, Argentina, Chile. We will also talk about the Amazon Rain-forest.

Journal Writing:  Rain-forest/ Earth day.

Art: Butterfly art project/  push pin continents.

Food Preparation: Juicing an orange.

Foreign Language: Introductory French lessons with Mrs. Barbier.

Special Event: Kindergarten Music Program: Thursday, April 17 at 7 PM (Galichia Auditorium).
